Parenting Jack has suddenly become a lot more fun!
In just the last few days, our little guy has gone from "able to crawl" to a boy in constant motion!
No longer do we have to play guessing games to figure out what Jack wants -- he can go get it for himself. And, oh my, doesn't he though! Nothing is safe!
It's that ironic period during which he is more willing than ever to entertain himself, but we have to watch him so very carefully because he hasn't figured out yet what is and isn't allowed (or safe).
So far, the cats' water dish is a big favorite, as is pulling every cookbook off the shelf in the kitchen. He loves to stand up and gnaw of the corners of the table in the parlour, and he delights in crawling away from whatever part of the apartment Dad and Mamma are in. (And then, he delights in coming back to find us in short order. Being able to go away is fun, but actually being away is far less fun!)
We can now play almost endlessly, because if Jack gets bored, he changes the game instead of just crying restlessly. This is so much fun!
